Catch22 opened in August 2006 in Huangdao, China to fulfill the need for a true western style bar in the Kaifaqu area.

Catch22 was the first international bar in the Kaifaqu area. We have a great following of customers from all nationalities. Our customer base includes many local Chinese professionals, but regularly has patrons from Italy, Greece, France, Germany, Pakistan, Canada, Australia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, England, United States, Russia, Mexico, and many other countries. Kaifaqu is a truly international destination, and Catch22 is here to service everyone’s needs.

While many bars will state that they are western (foreign) style bars, true westerners know the difference the moment they walk in the door. Catch22 is the real deal. Opened by an American Ex-Pat with 12 years in U.S. corporate restaurant management, Catch22 is positioned to provide a level of quality service that makes our guests feel right at home.

Whether you want mixed, frozen, or hot drinks, we can make them fresh and tasty. Catch22 features a professionally managed and stocked bar that is capable of making 1,000’s of the most popular drinks in the world. We also have a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks for our guests that do not drink alcohol.

Our abilities are only limited by the availability of specific brands of alcohol in China.
